Equipment is the cheapest capital an operator has. Banks cannot see it.
Safewaterline makes equipment lendable. We appraise it, monitor it, underwrite the loan, run the documents, and place the request with lenders who know the asset.
The collateral is on the floor. The lender is looking at a spreadsheet.
A GPU cluster, a robot fleet, an excavator, a ship. Each one earns money every day it runs, and each one can be sold if it stops. That makes it collateral. It is the cheapest capital an operator has, cheaper than a Series A that takes about a fifth of the company, cheaper than venture debt with warrants attached.
Banks cannot lend on it well because they cannot see it. They see a purchase invoice and last year's tax return. They do not see utilisation, location, firmware, hours, or what the unit sold for at auction last month. So they discount hard, or they say no.
Safewaterline closes that gap. We value every unit against the resale book, connect read only telemetry, write the covenants from what the telemetry shows, and take the request to lenders who already lend on the class. The lender sees the collateral. The operator gets a higher advance and keeps the cap table.
We make equipment lendable. Two fronts, one firm.
Capital
Appraise. Monitor. Underwrite. Document. Place.
A free pre-qualification, an appraisal report, and a loan request placed with a network of equipment lenders. The lender sets the advance, rate and term. Safewaterline does not lend.
Intelligence
Loan register, market estimates, risk profiles.
Market level data on equipment finance for lenders, insurers, lessors and investors. Aggregated and delayed. Never a borrower's deal.
Startups. Palo Alto.
We come from the startup ecosystem, not from a bank. Our first borrowers are venture backed: neoclouds, robotics companies, hardware startups with a fleet. They find us through founders and investors we already know.
The desk is in Palo Alto.
A ship that reports what it is doing
With Fincantieri we are working on a software defined vessel: a resource governor that allocates power across a ship's systems in real time.
On a 65 m patrol vessel with two 450 kW generators, a generator trips and the comms node drops to 8 kW within a second. The same telemetry that keeps the ship running is what a lender needs to see the collateral.

Not a bank. Not a lender.
Safewaterline Inc. appraises equipment, prepares loan requests and advises operators. It does not take deposits and does not make loans. Loans are made by third party lenders named in the term sheet.
